Missions to Military (MTM) has been such a blessing to my wife and I. We have both grown spiritually in our walk with the Lord over these past few years. We are so thankful that the Lord brought the Scaife’s into our lives. Tom and Kyung are true servants of the Lord that seek to mentor and disciple Marines and Sailors in the Camp Lejeune area. One thing that was really apparent to me when I first met them was their love for God and their desire to be intentional in their daily lives through thoughts, words and actions. Faith is not simply a theoretical exercise but one that must applied in our daily lives and shared with others. Tom provides great biblical insights to young men to help them navigate through God’s word and develop their relationship with our Creator. “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Many individuals come and go from the center, whether from a change of duty station, end of active service, or a retirement. They are equipped with the word of God to go forth and live for Christ. Missions to Military is not only having an impact on the Camp Lejeune area but this country, and even the world for generations to come. Throughout the week, the Scaife’s provide bible studies, prayer time, fellowship, marriage and personal counseling. The Lord continues to use them for His purpose to build, strengthen, and edify the Saints. They truly seek to help others have an accurate view of God’s word and what it truly means to be a follower of Christ. I have personally seen others come to Christ and others grow in maturity in Christ. It is so beneficial to have someone to lean on for guidance about a passage in scripture or how to overcome a trial in life. This world offers many different viewpoints that are contrary to the word of God. It is such a blessing to have mentors that provide truth in a world riddled with sin, confusion, and deception. We serve such a gracious and compassionate God who deserves all the glory, praise and admiration. Recently, we have been studying through 1st Corinthians and received such a great encouragement from the Apostle Paul on our victory through Jesus Christ. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1st Corinthians 15:57-58). May we all continue to labor for the Kingdom of God. (P.C.B)
